Skytear is a card-driven miniatures game inspired by MOBA video games.
A game for 2 or 4 players lasts 30 to 60 minutes and the set up takes less than 2 minutes. It is designed to be played multiple times per night and give you that “just-another-match” feeling at the end of each game.

In the first season, you can draft four heroes from 24 unique champions coming from four asymmetric factions. Each faction has a unique gameplay mechanic and each hero has a unique set of skills and powers.

The eight drafted heroes will face each other on a hex-based arena with a streamlined action point system. Throughout the game, there will be a constant tension between attacking enemy heroes and pushing forward with your minions to control the two lanes of the arena.

At the start of every match, you will draw 3 random winning conditions that are shared between you and your opponent. There are 10 different possible winning conditions: some are more aggressive, while others are about controlling key parts of the arena, or destroy the enemy temples.

Combat is fully card driven, as there are no dice in Skytear.
Your hand of Power Cards is what will make the skirmish fights always different and surprising. These are special moves your heroes can perform anytime, even as a reaction to your opponent’s moves (because of these cards, there is essentially no downtime in the game).

If you like, you can build your own deck of Power Cards for each of your heroes to customize them and create unexpected synergies and combos.

To keep the metagame fresh, we are planning two expansions per year and an online deck builder to balance cards retroactively without having to reprint anything.
