Jason Tagmire

It's another NEW GAME FRIDAY!

Hey everyone and welcome to another week of printable games at PNP Arcade. It's funny because we have a new publisher, new designer (our first non-publisher, designer) and 8 new games... and we were calling it a slow week here. Happy to keep new things coming you way, and a bunch of them are free!

The new publisher this week is:

Good Little Games! Plus Christopher Anderson and Button Shy Games. Here are the new titles:

  • Bread and Circuses
  • Good Little Gardens
  • Good Little Martian
  • Good Little Ninja
  • Legends of Dsyx: Guns, Goblins & Grog
  • Potions Class
  • Pentaquark: QCD Pack 1 - Tops
  • Tempus Imperium

There's some freebies, some roll and write, some look at your watch and write, a whole bunch of good little games, a good even littler game and a game designed by a child. Speaking of that, let's talk about our game of the week!

This week's Game of the Week is Potions Class from Button Shy Games.

Potions Class is a family friendly game of light set collection with an explosive touch of press your luck.

Two players will take turns adding a card to a potion, their reserve and their opponents reserve, in the order they want, but they will only see one card at a time. If you complete a potion, you claim it as yours, but you need to watch out for your opponent's reserve. It might be just enough to push them over the edge and complete a potion that you were working on.

Potions Class is for two players, and plays very well with young kids, or a parent and child. In fact, it was designed by a 9 year old kid, Owen Wokasch. Owen submitted it to the Button Shy 2017 design contest, and while it didn't win the contest, it was one that stuck with everyone since, and was eventually published in August 2018.

And finally, since we didn't mention it in last week's update, we are happy to announce a few new categories on the site. We divide games up by player count and publisher, but we added a section of rotating categories. Fun ones, that we'll mix up each week. Here are the first 3.

If you have any thoughts for more fun categories (based on what we have in our ever growing library), let us know!

See you again next week with a few new games from [REDACTED], another two from [REDACTED] and much more!
