Distilled: Africa and Middle East Expansion
Explore the ingredients, recipes, and personalities of Africa and the Middle East with this expansion to Distilled: A Spirited Strategy Game. Get a taste of culture not included in the base game by distilling and selling new spirits such as Akpeteshie and Boukha. Use new distillery upgrades, powerful ingredients, and thematic items to win new awards in this fully compatible expansion.
Rejoice at having a new expansion for an excellent game, and one that is easy enough to integrate into the main game. The goals and awards might depend upon a region, but beyond that almost anything else can just mix right in without much care. This does add in two new mechanics: double sugars and wild sugars. Both of these should help in distilling your spirits, which you’re going to need with four new spirit recipes available. Whether you already love Distilled, or will be picking it up for the first time, this is a nice expansion to add to your collection.
Did You Know…?
The goal of “Did you know…?” is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards and collect a set number of Topic cards by completing challenges and answering fun, surprising questions about yourself or your friends. The game is all about discovering fun facts, bonding, and having a great time!
This game provides some familiar ground in collecting sets of numbered cards, and playing them in order to complete challenge cards. The twist, of course, comes from Topic Cards, which you earn when completing a challenge. These have you ask questions of the other players, which can serve as an excellent icebreaker within a new group, or just a fun way to get to know other people a little better. After all, how often does the topic of what someone always wanted to learn come up in casual conversation?
Poll and Write 2024 (UK Edition)
Roll and (re)write the 2024 UK general election in the tense electoral strategy game for British politicos. A truly competitive roll & write – NOT your usual multiplayer solitaire! Pick from seven political parties contesting the 2024 general election with the aim of winning a majority of the battleground constituencies to enter government. The 'main' parties (Labour and Conservatives) aim to win a majority, while the five 'minor' parties (Liberal Democrats, Scottish National Party, Plaid Cymru, Greens, and Reform UK) are intensely thematic asymmetric factions with their own win condition.
An interesting game that has a little more to it than your traditional roll and write style of game. This one has up to seven different asymmetric parties that have differing goals to earn additional VP. The game includes a 2-player version, as well as bots to run the two core parties in the system for those who either want to play solo, or to compete as the other parties and let the bot run one or both of those parties. With relatively simple mechanics, yet complex decisions to try and maneuver with both timeliness and an eye toward future rounds, those who aren’t immersed in politics of any kind can still find plenty in here to scratch the gaming itch.
Pulp Dreadful
The city of Ravenspur, the largest in Drachenheim, trembles under the shadow of a killer known only as “The Puritan”. His blade carves through the smog-filled alleys, but it’s his sinister presence that truly haunts the city. Each strike spreads a corrupting madness, infecting the minds of ordinary citizens and driving them to frenzied violence. You stand among the few who remain untainted. Your mission is clear: navigate the chaos, uncover three clues to locate The Puritan, and confront him. Only by ending his reign of terror can you save Ravenspur from descending into complete darkness.
A small and simple adventure game, you’re traveling through the 12 points on a map, having encounters, gathering clues, and hopefully taking down The Puritan at the end. With easy rules to navigate, and extremely simple PNP work going into making this ready to play, this will be a near-instant get-to-the-table experience. Because of the integration of die rolls, it’ll never quite play out predictably, and presents a really fun way to spend some time solo gaming.
Dangerous Space: Thaydiss, Retrieve Mission
“Lightbulb” has earned his seat on the dropship. His willingness to cold-dive without a vacuum seal has made him a respected member of the crew.
Skill time for Thaydiss, and he has a pair of amazing skills at his command. His Combat Expert skill allows him to add 1 to dice used to attack a threat if a space immediately diagonal to the threat is marked. While it may sometimes force you to make extra moves to accomplish this, the added boost might be exactly what you need in order to knock off that threat a little faster. However, his Sleuth skill is even more impressive! When marking an item or Mission icon, a 6 used is considered to be any value. When you need matching numbers on two sides of each Databit in order to succeed, this flexibility is an incredible boon and might make Thaydiss a fan-favorite for missions like this.
Dragon vs. Kingdom
You’re all Leaders, and while reports of a dragon approaching have been confirmed, you’ve still got a kingdom to grow! Each round, you can raise a tower to defend the kingdom, build some houses to give people a place to live, or open a shop near houses to keep everyone happy. You can also attack the dragon from your towers in range. On one sheet, you’re the dragon instead! Move and attack the buildings that everyone else is building to score points.
A little game of making moves to build buildings or attack the dragon to score points, and then you’re passing the sheet around. One of the sheets has control of the dragon movements and attacks, making it all a little more interactive as you’ll score points as the dragon, too. Lay waste in your path and rebuild anew as the pages cycle around until the end, and try to outscore your competition in this interesting game experience. With simple rules, this should be a real easy one to pull out at a game night with the group.

Picaresque
Far from here, through the towns and valleys of the land, something important lies in wait. You cannot resist it, even if many troubles lie between here and there. With good friends at your side, set off on a fantastical quest to discover what lies at Journey’s End.
Three is the magic number here - you must, as a team, succeed through three trials to pass your quest, or you lose when failing a third time. Role-playing is a key element in this game, as being particularly innovative in solving a problem or playing into your character’s traits or boons can grant better odds for success in your mission. With whimsical, colorful art that is sure to please many players, a simple set of rules, and the openness to encourage imagination, this is bound to be a hit with role-players of any experience level.
