It's New Game Friday David Wiley (Cardboard Clash) is here to tell us about the new games.

Here’s what is new this week:

  • Space Lion: Divide and Conquer

  • Pizza Pizza Yum Yum

  • Dungeon Pages: Kal, Rugged Barbarian in Faris

Space Lion: Divide and Conquer

Space Lion: Divide and Conquer is a competitive dueling game for up to 5 players about leading your armies against threatening forces. While your fighting abilities are incredible, they are limited and you must protect all three of your bases at once!

Balance the deployment of your forces each round, as you’ll be dueling over 3 different battlefields with your 7 units. Cards can be played to a battle, discarded for an effect, or placed face-up to trigger its lead effect. If you enjoy the long line of games like Omen: A Reign of War or Air, Land, and Sea but wish you could play with more players or asymmetric factions, this game is one you will not want to miss out on. The decision space is tight, but can vary game-to-game with the inclusion of a special card to replace one of your other numbered cards, something that can let you swing a bigger hammer when that unit hits the battlefield.

Pizza Pizza Yum Yum

Pizza Pizza Yum Yum is a cooperative game played over three rounds. Each round, you will be making two pizzas with your partner. Scoring criteria will be face-down, and communication is restricted, so you will need to be in sync for a high score!

Meld minds with your friend and tackle the challenge in Pizza Pizza Yum Yum. Over the course of the round you’ll both be playing Pizzas out, and Yum cards to determine scoring. Those Yum cards are vital, showing what ingredients score for the pizza. However, you don’t know which ones your partner plays nor where - making it a test of how well you can plan without overtly expressing those plans. Do you think you have what it takes to topple the 30-point threshold in order to secure victory? Or will your delivery end up running a little behind, leaving you short on tips for the evening? Check this one out if you enjoy quick, cooperative challenges with a friend.

Dungeon Pages: Kal, Rugged Barbarian in Faris

The last student you want to be paired against in a combat trial, Kal is also a formidable cook. Whether smashing dungeons or garlic and onions, the young man is a force to be reckoned with.

A delightful hero awaits you this week, with the ability to focus his attacks in order to use the sum of two dice - a very important skill for when you’re rolling relentlessly low. And he’s going to need that assistance when facing down the slithering serpents in Faris, a place where sand is valued and water feared. Surely these snakes are a big part of the reason, with the Poison Serpents wrecking your future capabilities and the Powderkeg traps chipping away at your health. Don’t underestimate Laisa, Constrictor, the boss in this dungeon. She’s got some tricks up her scales, causing you to take damage when marking a number that’s already adjacent to her. That makes it almost a certainty that you’ll take some hits while fighting her so the question remains: do you have enough strength to weather her wrath?
