Our first PNP Arcade original game is coming to Kickstarter on Black Friday. Dungeon Pages is a PNP only, solo tactical, roll & write game of dungeon delving and monster battling. Just $4. It's designed by Jason Greeno and Jason Tagmire and introduces a variable system with multiple characters that can be combined with any dungeon for replayability.

It's New Game Friday! David Wiley (Cardboard Clash) is here to tell us about the new games.

Here’s what is new this week:

  • Worder
  • Quests Over Coffee: Magic and Magic Expansion
  • Relics of Danoria

Worder is a game about the order of letters. You’ll connect letters, then come up with a word where they show up in that order. The longer the chain of letters, the harder it gets!

An interesting little game of making words, which increasingly grow more challenging as you add more letters which have to appear in a certain order. With the addition of a restriction, either requiring a letter to always appear in the word or to never appear in the word, this can really put your vocabulary to the test. If you enjoy puzzling out games with words, whether alone or with others, then you won’t want to miss this little game.

Quests Over Coffee: Magic and Magic Expansion

Another delightful 9-card expansion for a fast, fun, and incredibly popular solitaire game. Some of the best things in this game are the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) references being made to popular things related to the topic at hand, and this week we have magic on the docket. While my personal favorite here is a certain ring, I also really love the brewing of a new coffee flavor. If you love adding variety to your games, you’ll absolutely want to pick this one up for a seamless addition to your experience.

Relics of Danoria

After the fall of Queen Nahlet, the Just, Danoria was seized by Korlax, the Crimson Wizard. You are The Prestige, the remaining heroes of the fallen kingdom, that swore an oath to retrieve the Lost Relics and restore peace and prosperity to the Danorian.

A small, two-page RPG game that is quick to get going and easy to navigate, this will have you adventuring in a fantasy world as a hero - but the focus isn’t on finding and slaying waves of monsters! If you like something that can be played alone or with others and doesn’t require tomes upon tomes to track things, this is a perfect game for you. With the clever and easy-to-use Push system helping operate the game, this can be taught and start playing in a matter of minutes and is absolutely suitable for playing in person, online, or even in a play-by-post format in something like an online forum. If only such a forum for board games and role-playing games existed…

Game of the Week: At the Helm - on sale for $2!

The sea is a dangerous place. Whether it’s storms or sea serpents, you’re putting your life on the line each time you set sail. Boldly face the challenges of the open ocean as you steer your ship into uncharted waters.

There may not be a white whale in these seas, but they still contain dangers aplenty. Take the wheel and challenge the ocean and its trials and tribulations as captain of the ship. This is a small solo game with some hand management, a market of cards to purchase, and challenges to overcome before your health or your time runs out. With several challenges to choose from, there’s plenty of reason to have this hit your table several times in a row. It never ceases to amaze me how much can be packed into such a small package for a game, and this promises to be one of those solo games that are very replayable and fun.
