This is a pen-and-paper dice game about making swords. It is the intersection of two impulses.
On one hand I wanted to make another Roll and Write game. Just to prove to myself that I still had access to the juice.
It would be a spiritual successor to the Legend of Dsyx games I made for ButtonShy in 2018, and it would be about swords probably.
The other direction I came from was wanting to make a game that also served as a creative tool, where visually pleasing output was also high-scoring, but I wasn't directing the player to make a pre-decided outcome. I don't know that I got there, the swords you make while playing this game will probably be a bit ugly, though I urge you to play to make the coolest sword you can, and worry about the score once the work is done. Though 75 seems to be a good first score to beat if you are in to that sort of thing.
Feel-wise I am very happy about this. I wanted to capture a kind of methodical working-out of chaos into a grand design, shaping organic ore into sturdy, folded steel. And I think I got there. It's just a little bit janky.
