Synopsis
You’re dead, most would say, dead to the world. At least until you can repay a massive debt by completing bounty-hunting missions that will take you among the stars. The syndicate that sent you will see to it. After all, the biochips that they placed in your cyborg body don’t simply provide super-human abilities. They also monitor your progress to ensure your compliance.
The game is a solo experience inspired by the mechanisms of What Lies Beneath (gamebook) and the scifi world of Pocket Scifi: A Cyborg Adventure. The game also serves as a spiritual predecessor to the latter.

You'll need paper, pencil, and a deck of standard playing cards (including jokers).
Stellar Revenant goes beyond the standard gamebook mechanisms of branching narratives, encounters, and stat checks...
Wit Test: Solve a little puzzle in which you manipulate and gather cards, using a cache that you can improve by upgrading your character's intelligence. Certain character classes get extra types of actions, adding to replayability.
Hit Test: Test your character in battle by drawing cards and comparing them against the enemy's hand. To inflict combo damage, upgrade your character with biochips suitable for your character type.
Dex Test: Toss a card onto a pencil from a specified distance. If part of the card covers the pencil, you have succeeded. The book will also include alternate rules for players who prefer not to perform physical dexterity mechanisms.
Quantum Test: Test your luck by drawing cards and checking against a consequence table. By manipulating the deck and/or increasing your character's luck statistic, increase the odds of a good draw.
You control the narrative! Actions you take throughout the game will affect the world. And the ending will depend on your decisions -- as well as your success or failure at tests along the way.
