Ukiyo is a Japanese-themed, fast and puzzly card game for 1-4 players. Each of the 16 game cards contains different combinations of four different Japanese symbols. Each card also contains a task, numbered 1-16 in ascending order of difficulty. Each task involves arranging those symbols in certain ways, for example to create a line of four acorns or all corners matching. Play cards onto an area of 6x6 symbols and try and complete the card tasks. With almost infinite combinations, it's a different game every time you play.

In multiplayer mode, players take turns to play a card from their hand to form a playing area no larger than 6x6 symbols. The aim is to complete the task on the last card left in your hand once all other cards have been played. The player completing the highest-scoring task in the winner.
Solo mode includes 20 puzzles in four difficulty levels, where you aim to complete three or four cards tasks at the same time once all other cards have been played. With difficulty ranging from simple to brutal, Ukiyo provides the ideal solo challenge.
Ukiyo was funded on Kickstarter in November 2020 with over 450 backers. It is now available to buy through Walnut Games (https://www.walnutgames.co.uk). How to play videos are also linked from that site.
