Dustrunner

You have stolen plans from a barbaric raider base and now must traverse the landscape to bring them back to your camp. Victory is had only if you can make it home before either being caught by the pursuing raiders or killed on the road.

An exciting game experience that you’d expect from the designer of hits like Iron Helm and Desolate. In Dustrunner, you’re trying to get to the end of the map without dying or letting the enemy vehicle catch up to you. Each round you’ll have two cards to choose from, and must make that decision without knowing what is under the 2nd card - not only could it be worse, but your enemies could be stronger as a result. This offers some fun combat resolution, outstanding artwork, and what promises to be fairly fast-paced gameplay that you’ll want to pull out again and again.

Dragons of Etchinstone: Northvale Expansion

Etchinstone, the last great nation under the wide reaches of Valorfall, is under grave threat of a kind no one saw coming. Four ancient dragons have seized control of pivotal strongholds in every direction - North, South, East, and West. It’s up to you, the strongest of the rare Ether Mages, to make the perilous quest to each of these strongholds, defeat the dragons, and bring peace back to Etchinstone. Amp up your Etchinstone experience with playable characters and powerful new regions and bosses.

This is an expansion to a solo adventure, where you’re manipulating the cards in your hand to overcome obstacles and encounters, trying to survive through four regions before taking down the dragon. Like so many excellent expansions, this adds even more of the game you already know and love into the gaming experience, adding a new location and a new boss to defeat…but it also brings four playable Ether Mage characters, each with their own flavor to the gameplay. As a game inspired by Mage Knight, this offers a rich experience to the solo gamer while doubling the content from 18 cards to 36 total for the game.

Dangerous Space: Dee Volkova, Commandeer Mission

Dee lost part of her leg when a rescue mission went sideways. The grateful family financed her unique drone backpack which earned the cadet her apt callsign.

What a fun character we have here! Her skills are something to get really excited about, as Aerial will allow her to skip over items and mission icons during movement, and her Dual Fire skill lets her reroll a die and return it to her pool after an attack. She comes with some tough threats, too, with the Vicious Stowaway making you reroll your highest die when it damages you (and let’s face it, this could actually become a good thing…) and the Adapting Specimen infecting you and causing damage each turn it remains alive. Try out a fun new character and see how she navigates through the Mothers Woe locale.

Dungeon Pages: Seth (Roving Tactician) in Twin Mount

Jason G. dropping a note this week to introduce our new character Seth, Roving Tactician:

A natural puzzle-solver, Seth filled his course load with studies in Strategy, Tactics and Warfare. He is also showing great promise as a forger of deadly weapons.

Seth brings with him not one, but two new character effects in Elemental Water AND Elemental Dark! I love the interplay of this character's abilities and unique relics. The anthropomorphic squid-hero might just be my new favorite character! Hope you enjoy.

Game of the Week: SemiFinal Fantasy on sale for just $4!

Are you ready for some dungeoncrawling?

It's time for Semifinal Fantasy, where you (the average townsfolk) get to go down to your local tavern, pick your favorite adventurers, and place bets on which party will survive the nasty Bracket Dungeon!

From the comfort of your wooden barstool, you will try to convert your coins into a big haul. Now let's get thing rolling...

Let’s face it, most of us probably have either made a basketball bracket for March Madness or know someone who has. Now imagine being patrons at a tavern where you bet on who will succeed in the dungeon? Intrigued? You bet you are! Name your teams, seed them among the bracket, and then compete to see who can collect the most sets of colored gems along the way. You can spend coins to boost stats of your favorites in the bracket. One this is certain, you won’t have played a game quite like SemiFinal Fantasy, and there’s no better time than now to try it out!
