        Worldbreakers

Worldbreakers: Advent of the Khanate is a two-player card game set in an alternate 13th century Asia. You are a Worldbreaker, an individual who can harness the mysterious substance mythium to magnify your natural talents. Over the course of the game, you will recruit followers to control the board and develop location cards to gain power. Reach 10 power to win the game, forever reshaping history!

Don’t let the description leave you thinking you are looking at a M:tG clone. This game takes some inspiration from there, but also from Netrunner and euro games like Agricola to provide a gameplay experience that is as unique as the setting for this game. With delightful artwork, a diverse spectrum of characters on the cards, and interesting decisions throughout the gameplay - this is one you won’t want to miss. It comes with several modes of play, too, allowing you to tailor the gameplay experience toward what you’re interested in playing.

        Psychographia

You are psychics in trouble, separated from one another by a nefarious plot. You must use clandestine mental transmissions - represented by words circled in ages of text and sent through the mail - to communicate the nature of the threat to your partner.

Perhaps one of the most unique game ideas I have seen to date, this one has you communicating with a partner via written pages - leaving clues, marking guesses, and more to try and come up with their three secret words before the time runs out. How well you do will determine your score - if you are a fan of games like Codenames but wished those games scaled well with two, this is certainly a title you won’t want to miss checking out!

        Bot Hunters

Each bot is precious to a young Bot Hunter, who wants to get a good name among peers and prove to be the best. Wild bots can be found everywhere and to catch them a hunter needs to fight them. To catch bots also means to gain their trust and their valuable help in completing your mission. Unfortunately, you will frequently meet other mysterious masked hunters, who won’t mind getting in the way and you will have to fight.

Take charge of a young person hunting bots each round, competing to gain as many points as you can by the time you’ve faced the third Masked Hunter. The premise is simple, placing your character on the bot you want to face, rolling dice to meet or exceed the required values, and face an event. Within that simple pattern, you’ll have some fun and interesting decisions, and with each player having a unique power there’s a lot of fun and variety in a package simple enough for younger gamers to join along in this delightful theme.

Game of the Week: Paper Pinball: Sherwood 2146

Each round, roll two dice and fill in one of the scoring zones. Some zones need to be filled in a certain way, and most will cause some sort of effect, so the order you fill them in is important. If you ever can't fill a zone, you'll lose a ball. Lose three balls and the game is over. Try to fill as many scoring zones as possible while triggering multipliers, opening tunnels, and getting the coveted multiball.

Take on the high score of this fun little pinball sheet, with a futuristic Robin Hood watching you from behind his shades. There are plenty of tunnels on this little map, which is sure to help you pass the time when you have a handful of minutes and some dice handy. If you love Paper Pinball, you probably already know you should check this one out if it is missing from your collection. Never tried it? Beware, the Paper Pinball system can be pretty darn addictive, especially if you set things up to be able to use a dry erase marker as you race to get that next high score.
