The Dungeon Pages Kickstarter has ended, but if you missed out you can still preorder right here on PNP Arcade at the discounted Kickstarter prices:
Early January we will start to fulfil the game and start the weekly dungeon releases.
It's New Game Friday! David Wiley (Cardboard Clash) is here to tell us about the new games.
Here’s what is new this week:
- Tiny Kingdom Builder
- Christmas on Track
When hungry Numbsters form a line, arrange them well and you’ll be fine. But when they all begin to munch, avoid the Mouth or you’ll be lunch!
A fun little game that is played in the hand or on the table, where you’re arranging numbers to get eaten each round without letting the mouth card reach the front of the pile. Not only is there the basic premise of a pair of sequential numbers, separated only by the mouth card, allowing the lower to consume the higher card. However, each card also has a special power that’s active when it is at the front, opening up strategies that will change from turn-to-turn as you try and rearrange cards in order to last as long as possible. If you love small games with quick rules and a tiny footprint, you won’t want to miss this little solo game.
Tiny Kingdom Builder
The King has issued a Royal decree: BUILD!
A small worker placement game where you’re allocating your workers on your turn in order to gain resources. However, there’s a chance you’ll encounter a robber, who will instead plunder resources, meaning you need to balance what you need to earn with what you stand to lose if you happen to have an unlucky round. A compact game that is easy to learn and quick to play, if you enjoy worker placement then you should definitely check this one out and build to your heart’s content.
Christmas on Track
Christmas on Track is a festive roll-n-write game for 1 or more players. Lay train tracks to bring gifts from Santa's workshop to the gift wrapping station, then to the sleigh for delivery!
A festive roll-and-write game that will have you building buildings and/or connecting train tracks. The catch in this one is that you’re using red and green pencils to draw those tracks and buildings, and the color used is dependent upon the color of the die rolled. Red cannot connect to green, and vice versa, which opens up a delightfully devious puzzle to work through. While this might be themed around Christmas, you may find yourself wanting to play and replay this game long after the holiday season comes to a close.
Game of the Week: Paper Pinball Holiday Gauntlet for $18
Paper Pinball is a dice game that tries to capture the feeling of playing pinball. All you will need is a pencil, three dice, and about five minutes.
I love some Paper Pinball, and there’s nothing like the challenge of a gauntlet to help inspire more gameplay to channel your inner Pinball Wizard. With a new game for each day along the countdown to Christmas, you’ll be entertained each and every day this month with simple, yet fun, games to play. Each new Pinball Gauntlet sheet will provide a unique challenge to puzzle through in order to earn your high score.
