It's New Game Friday David Wiley (Cardboard Clash) is here to tell us about the new games.

Here’s what is new this week:
  • Around the World in 10-15 Minutes

  • Wraithound
  • Dangerous Space: Dekkar, Eliminate Mission

Around the World in 10-15 Minutes

Travel the world, Explore the cities, and Collect some souvenirs!

Designed as a quick and easy game that can be played alone, or in a group, within the span of a coffee break or while waiting for a meal at a restaurant. One player picks one of three actions, getting to do it up to twice while everyone else does it once. This opens up a ton of difficult decisions, as you might be hoping for a certain action to come around, but either have to pivot completely or else take suboptimal actions until you can make the pick you need instead. The game goes by fast, ending when a player has been to each continent and returned to their starting city. If you enjoy short and simple games that can go anywhere with you, then you won’t want to miss this one.

Certain individuals are marked from birth by supernatural forces. These marked ones often manifest early signs of their unique heritage, such as unexplained poltergeist activities or eerie phenomena that surround their presence. In a world fearful and ignorant of the arcane, these manifestations attract the attention of the ancient and secretive Order of the Wraithounds.

A new role-playing experience is here to hit the table for 1-3 adventurers. In this you are exploring through three levels of floors, vanquishing threats, and ultimately defeating the boss at the end. All of this comes with tables, oracles, and the use of playing cards to help define what you encounter, your success or failure along the way, and to also set up the power levels for yourself and the boss once you reach the end. If you enjoy an interesting theme and an easy-to-use RPG system to play through, then you won’t want to miss checking this one out.

Dangerous Space: Dekkar, Eliminate Mission

Dekkar was trained by a secretive sect of martial warriors whose code deviates each to a life of daring missions and quests.

This character is going to be a fun one, as he comes with two different weapons to choose from…one of them being a Strike weapon. He has two really fun skills to unlock, too, allowing him to boost dice used in those Strike attacks, as well as being able to reroll react rolls from threats. However, he might need everything he can muster to take down the threat of the Adapting Leech - a boss which deals you automatic damage every turn after you attack it until it has been defeated. And if that doesn’t sound bad enough, it also makes you sacrifice all odd dice in your pool after attacking it - coincidentally, the weak spot for it happens to be a 1. Funny how that happens, right?

Game of the Week: Wildtails: A Pirate Legacy on sale for $2!

The life of a pirate is never easy and rarely boring. Whether it’s running contraband past military patrols or securing your hideout from rivals, you’ll need equal parts wit and daring to turn your fledgling operation into a pirate empire.

Legacy games are a challenge to design, and in an 18-card footprint I imagine the impossibility factor only increases. Well, you won’t want to miss out on the wonderful artwork and experience provided by Wildtails, a cooperative legacy game for 1-2 players. Complete objectives, manage crises, store resources to the Empire, and defeat a threat with each scenario as you advance through this campaign game that even includes a way to make post-campaign scenarios.
